Philadelphia Phillies Ballpark Bar Celebrates Local Culture with a Split Flap Display
When building the new 24,500-square foot Pass & Stow bar at the Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizen Bank Park, the designers wanted to create a local experience that celebrates the city’s rich history and innovative present. The goal was to immerse their guests in an environment that piques their interest and keeps them coming back, game after game.
To help merge Philadelphia’s past and present in an engaging environment, Pass & Stow commissioned Oat Foundry to build a custom Split Flap Display. The clacking departures board recreates the experience of traveling to and from the city’s central transit hub – 30th Street Station (whose split flap was taken down earlier this year) – successfully cultivating an engaging atmosphere while paying tribute to the city.
