What is a Picture Flap?

A Picture Flap display is a Split Flap that uses images instead of words. Using the same mechanical motion as Split Flap, each flap of a Picture Flap flips to show a different part of a picture. At first, everything looks mixed up, like an unfinished puzzle. Then, one by one, the pieces flip… flip… flip… until they all match and make a full picture.

Picture Flap displays range in size. Some of the largest Picture Flap displays include our Coachella x White Claw kinetic clock installation (4 Row x 10 Column), the Banner Club at The Rogers Centre, where the Toronto Blue Jays play (5 Row x 17 Column), and the dynamic lobby signage at the HAVI Group (6 Row x 10 Column).

Similar to Split Flap, the lead time for a custom Picture Flap installation or signage depends on the customization and size of the display, as well as on obtaining your photography and approvals.
