About Melissa
Born in Philadelphia to massive Eagles fans, Melissa (also known as Missy or Pickles) attended Temple University just like her Mom. She returned to graduate school in 2023 at New York University and is in pursuit of a dual MA/MSLIS in Food Studies and Library Science. She has lived in Philly, Durham, upstate New York, and Wilmington, NC, as well as Brooklyn, before settling down in Jenkintown with her family.
Prior to working at Oat Foundry, she worked at agencies like Lean Labs and in higher education, at New York Film Academy and Columbia Business School. At Oat Foundry, you’ll likely find her at her desk writing, digging into SEMRush and Google Analytics, or working on a content strategy. Outside of work, she loves to travel, having visited about 25 countries, including Ukraine, Jordan, Iceland, Japan, and Argentina.
She is currently working on several writing and zine projects, but spends a lot of time playing Minecraft or Roblox with her husband Tim and son, Heath or rewatching Veronica Mars and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Melissa brings a creative, yet analytical approach to Oat Foundry’s marketing team, using her skills in research, content creation and cultural anthropology to address the vital role of analog technology in our society.
