Innovative technologies on display.

Identiverse is one of the world’s leading conferences for digital identity, bringing together companies focused on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, authentication, and cloud infrastructure. While these technologies power an increasingly connected future, the physical experience of many booths looks remarkably similar, with large LED walls, touchscreens, and video loops competing for attention.

In experiential design, screens no longer signal innovation or creativity, as they’ve become the expected backdrop of nearly every conference and trade show.

Emerging analog in a digital world.

As digital infrastructure becomes increasingly invisible, brands are discovering that the most memorable experiences feel tangible, mechanical, and distinctly tactile. For architects, interior designers, and brands, the priority has shifted toward seamless systems that operate behind the scenes.

Analog technologies such as Split Flap have been reimagined for modern architecture, hospitality, retail, and corporate environments, presenting a tactile, analog experience for visitors. Rather than replacing digital systems, they provide a physical interface that engages attendees and customers in ways screens increasingly cannot.

High-impact messaging for brands.

At Identiverse, Capital One needed a memorable “wow” moment, one that would draw attendees toward its booth while introducing Confyrm, its new digital identity authentication platform. Rather than adding another screen, the team partnered with Oat Foundry to create a kinetic Split Flap display that communicated both the product launch and the brand story.

Modular design in any space.

Inspired by the iconic Solari departure boards of the 20th century, Oat Foundry’s Split Flap pairs mechanical movement with modern software control. Serving as both a modular architectural feature and a messaging platform, it immediately distinguished Capital One’s booth from the surrounding sea of LED walls and monitors.

Although the product launch was ambitious, the booth footprint was modest. With a single wall measuring just 8 feet high by 20 feet long, the design team needed to create a memorable brand experience within a limited space. Oat Foundry’s modular Split Flap system was scaled specifically for the installation, transforming a single wall into the booth’s defining feature.

Attention through movement.

Trade shows are designed to compete for attention. As attendees navigate hundreds of exhibitors, movement often captures the eye before graphics or messaging. Unlike a looping video or animated LED display, every rotation of a Split Flap is tactile. The distinctive sound and synchronized motion invite curiosity, encouraging visitors to stop, watch, and engage before reading a single word.

For Capital One, this became an extension of the Confyrm launch, transforming branding into an interaction rather than simply another screen-based presentation.

Designed for evolving content.

Oat Foundry’s cloud-based Portal software allowed Capital One to schedule and update content throughout the event, highlighting product messaging, demonstrations, and brand storytelling as attendee traffic evolved.

Rather than producing a single printed backdrop, the installation became a dynamic communications platform that could adapt throughout the conference while maintaining the craftsmanship and permanence of an architectural feature.
