At SEGD Dallas 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to exhibit our Split Flap and Picture Flap displays with some of the most creative minds in design and architecture. The SEGD conference, a vibrant gathering of professionals in experiential graphic design, gave us the perfect stage to showcase how our technology can transform spaces and create moments of genuine engagement.
Our booth featured two of our favorite displays: a 4-row by 6-column Picture Flap and a 3-row by 16-column Split Flap. The Picture Flap turned heads as it cycled through bold, dynamic imagery with its mesmerizing mechanical transitions. Watching the flaps click into place seemed to create a sense of anticipation and delight for everyone who stopped by. It’s something we love about this display—its ability to make people pause and take notice in a way digital screens simply can’t replicate.
Right next to it, our Split Flap Display drew its own crowd with its unmistakable clicking sound and smooth motion. Whether displaying messages or wayfinding elements, it reminded everyone of the charm and functionality that only analog can deliver. Seeing people’s faces light up as they interacted with the Split Flap was a great reminder of why we do what we do.
Throughout the conference, our booth buzzed with excitement as designers and architects shared how they envisioned using our displays in their projects. We had amazing conversations about blending analog and digital elements in experiential spaces, and it was clear that tactile, mechanical designs still have a unique place in this increasingly digital world.
SEGD is all about inspiring and connecting, and being part of it reaffirmed how our displays can help create immersive, memorable environments. The conversations we had highlighted just how versatile our technology is—whether for retail, hospitality, or even transportation, the possibilities feel endless.
Leaving Dallas, we felt energized by the enthusiasm and ideas that emerged during the conference. It’s always inspiring to see how our work resonates with others, and SEGD was no exception. We’re already looking forward to the next opportunity to share our analog displays and continue shaping the future of design, one flap at a time.
