When building this content management system, we drew inspiration from Google Calendar, PowerPoint, and a few other popular software platforms, so anyone can hop right in to send messages to their sign.
How It Works
Getting Started:
- Connect your Split Flap to the internet (preferably with an ethernet cable)
- Go to the Portal web address (on any smart device with a browser)
- Log in to your secure account

Perfect Timing
You’ll be able to fully control the timing of messages sent to the Split Flap, including when they’re sent, how long they remain visible, and the speed at which they appear.
Your Split Flap synchronizes with the current time based on the timezone settings in your account. This feature ensures precise timing for your messages, allowing a welcome message to appear right at the arrival time of your 2PM guest.

Messaging
There are three ways to set up messages:
Create your Own: Build all of your own content by simply typing it directly into the Portal. Visualize and format your message exactly as it’s going to appear before sending it to the board.
Select from the Oat Foundry library: We’ve curated a fun selection of pre-programmed messaging, like quotes and trivia.
Connect live data: Pull from APIs to display real-time information like sports scores and weather forecasts.
